I just want everyone to know that Jason RULES!
I brought my SVX to him kind of in limp mode, he went over the whole car for me, and told me what it needed, then we proceeded. Unfortunately we didn't know the driveshaft was weak, and it broke, cracking the transfer case with it. Jason felt worse about it then I did. He Towed the car back to his shop, and didn't even ask for any reimbursement. Jason & Jessi gave me a warm bed and a meal for the night, then he gave me a ride home (140 miles) and still didn't ask for any reimbursement. I now feel like I'm part of his family after meeting Jessi, Faith, Linda & Marty. They are all good honest people. And of course Jason is a top notch mechanic, and knows the SVX's inside and out.
You folks treaded me right, and now have a customer for life, and a friend forever.

I appreciate your good feedback Mike. You have helped us too and I can't wait till this spring/summer when we can get a lot done.
You are part of the family and we all feel the same way about you.
Quick question cause it's on my mind- Do you know how to shadow on a computer? If so I am in need of assistance when you can come get your SVX.

I don't know what you mean by shadowing a computer? Do you mean remote Assistance.

I mean shadow a program from Rev's computer.
I have Rev's computer (mother-in-law is keeping it) and he was doing some things on and for websites and this guy needs the information from his computer to keep the sites going and I refuse to send him the computer cause I doubt I would get it back (I don't know for sure but I am also not taking the chance).

Yea there are ways to do that. A disc image can be made and put on another PC or HD. It would be an exact duplicate of Rev's PC and have every app rev had on his PC. An easier way exist though, which may or may not work.
Usually when installing an app, most files go to the program files dir, sometimes however some other files may go to the windows dir. Just copy the entire dir of that app which you want, out from program files to a cd/dvd/pen drive. Then on the other PC (yours) copy the files into the programs files dir. If the app is "self contained" all will be fine. If not you may have to selectively copy other files (dll's) from rev's windows dir to your windows dir.

Jason everything you fixed is flawless! I just can't say enough good things about the 4.44's. Acceleration, engine braking and just about everything else. Truly the gearing the SVX should have had stock. It feels like there is at least 25% more torque at any gear/speed. Its like a entirely different car now. From like a high speed limper to a canyon runner. Now I understand why you so pro automatic 4.44 and kind of anti manual trans. I can't even begin to tell you people the difference's between 3.54 FWD and 4.44 AWD.
I thought I liked my SVX before Jason fixed everything, but now I LOVE my SVX. My baby is going to get some fresh paint this spring. Help me! I've fallen (into the SVX money pit) and I can't get up.
Only one problem though, its getting harder for Jason to find these tranny's now. So any of you out there thinking 4.44 ya better hurry!

I'm very glad I could make you Happy Mike and I tried very hard. Your car fought me all the way, but I think i won in the end and it will now be a good car. We still have some seals and gaskets to do and a few other mods, but I think your fixed up and good to go for now.

Jason is definitely the man. I am gazillion miles away from him but he treated me as a friend and customer same as those who are physically close.
Even though I don't lurk much around here, the budfreaks will always be my friends.
BTW, I am planning for a trip to the US anytime during the next couple of years. Future Mrs.SilverSpear's brother is in Cleveland, we will definitely go there. I will confirm to you guys the exact date so we can do a small meeting.Last edited on Feb 14th, 2010 05:45 AM by SilverSpear
